Is this really training or just a sales pitch?

We completely understand why you would ask that! Though we do share information about specific DGP resources, the training provides lots of strategies that anyone can use without purchasing materials or paying subscription fees. Following each session, each participant receives a certificate of attendance and free resources from DGP Publishing. Here is some feedback we've received from participants:

"This grammar webinar stands out as one of the most practical and inspiring I've experienced in years. Dawn didn't just talk about grammar instruction--she provided a clear, well-structured outline for how to teach grammar in a way that actually connects with students' writing. It was refreshing to see grammar treated not as a set of isolated rules, but as a living tool to empower student expression and clarity. The outline provided was detailed, but not overwhelming. It broke the process down into manageable, purposeful steps. As someone who's always valued a balanced literacy approach, I appreciate how this model respects both structure and creativity and provides opportunities to implement what is learned, which makes instruction more meaningful for students and also supports long-term retention and application." (Lisa, MO)

“I attended one of Dawn’s sessions in person at a conference a few years ago and loved it. As our school's funding for travel diminishes, it’s great to be able to get the same amazing training online for my whole department—for free!” (Greg, TX)

"I just relearned more about grammar than I have in two years of teaching it (later in life career changer teaching at an independent school). Really looking forward to using DGP with my students. Thanks so much!" (Lily, MD)

“I’ve seen dozens of grammar programs that claim to be ‘different,’ but they really aren’t. Daily Grammar Practice is the only one that is quick but TRULY meaningful. This webinar was well worth my time.” (Keshia, LA)

"Dawn's Reading for Meaning webinar was eye-opening for me. I've always discussed literature with my students, but I never really understood how to help them understand all the nuances of texts--especially informational texts. I've been using the techniques from the webinar to help my students prepare for the SAT and ACT, and their comprehension has improved dramatically." (Colleen, GA)

"This session was well-planned and delivered with lots of examples of strategies that teachers can bring back to their students." (Crystal, GA)

"Excellent information practical, engaging, and directly connected to what our students truly need in grades 1–5. I appreciated the clear examples and ready-to-use strategies that make grammar instruction less rigid and more purposeful." (Sheila, NC)

"I love the idea of working with a variety of grammar concepts at the same time instead of just individual topics. I believe this will help my students better grasp the overall structure/purpose of grammar, while also encouraging them to think more critically about their own writing. Mrs. Burnette was very informative and offered relevant examples to convey the benefits of the DGP program." (Elizabeth, OH)

"It was very helpful! Thank you for the practical strategies for both teaching grammar and connecting it to writing practice in a meaningful way! The brain research to back up the approach was great! I'm excited for us to try this approach with our students this year!" (Rachael, TN)

"I love the variety of strategies shown with specific examples of each - I especially look forward to implementing the "1-6 word paragraph summaries" this year! Thanks again for giving your time (on a Saturday, at that!) to share your knowledge with others." (Robert, GA)
